Synthetic vs. Natural

Natural Hormone = Bio-Identical Hormone

Bio-Identical Hormone

Bio-Identical Hormone has a chemical structure that is identical to the hormone naturally produced by the body.

Synthetic Hormone

Synthetic Hormone has a similar structure, but not exactly the same as a hormone produced by the body.

These chemical differences mean that the synthetic hormone acts differently and produces substantially different effects. Three studies recently published in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, and the Journal of the National Cancer Institute clearly indicate that synthetic hormones, particularly Provera and medroxyprogesterone acetate, are responsible for an increased incidence of breast cancer. Further, a recent article in the New England Journal of Medicine also documented that long-term use of synthetic estrogen does increase the formation of breast cancer.

Natural hormones - pure pharmaceutical bio-identical hormones - are produced by compounding pharmacies.

In Europe most research trials have shown that natural estrogen, especially when taken in conjunction with natural progesterone, actually protects against breast cancer. In 1989 the Hargrove Study found natural hormones to be safe and effective. NATURAL HORMONES are the key to healthy longevity. They are an exact match to the hormones your body produces naturally and offer relief from the symptoms of aging.
