Antioxidant Formula

Definition: Antioxidants are molecules that react with free radicals to make them less toxic. They act as friendly bodyguards neutralizing free radicals before they can do damage. The aim is not to stop the important process of oxidation in the cell's mitochondria (the cell's powerhouse) that produces energy, but to minimize the negative impact of the resulting free radical. The integrity of the cell depends on the balance of free radicals and antioxidants.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) – water and lipid-soluble antioxidant that recycles vitamins C, E and glutathione. As a coenzyme for energy production, ALA helps transport glucose into the cell, thus promoting normal blood sugar balance.
